Farmers and herders with central organization

In the context of the prehistory of Chile, there exist two instances where a dramatic change occurred, cutting the prevailing modes of life: the presence of the Tiwanaku in the arid north and the Inka expansion into northern Chile.
In both cases, the way of life revolved around a centralized authority, who organized the economy into a macro-regional scale.
